Nigeria Visa Requirements for Indians

Many people from around the world want to visit Nigeria for various purposes. The country also attracts a lot of business people. Indians who wish to visit Nigeria for tourism or trade purposes can easily avail a Nigeria Visa online in India. India is one of the many countries for which Nigeria Visa is available.

Nigeria Visa required Documents for Indians Tourist / Friend/Family Visa

  • Original Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity. Must have two blank facing pages.
  • Copy of Passport Data-Page Two recent Visa photographs.
  • A detailed letter from the applicant stating the reason to visit Nigeria, duration of stay and places to visit in Nigeria. The letter must be addressed to Nigeria High Commission, New Delhi, signed and dated. (If self-employed on company letterhead).
  • Evidence of accommodation in Nigeria, copies of confirmed hotel, guest house or motel booking with the name of the applicants showing.
  • Personal bank statement, showing name and address of the Applicant. The bank statement must be a minimum of $1000 in credit, overdrafts are not included. This can be no more than 3 months old at time of submission.
  • Air ticket To and Fro.
  • If Self Employed: Company registration proof/ Shop Act/ Partnership deed/MOA.
  • If Employed: Salary slips for last 3-months + Leave approval letter + Salary account statements for last 3 months showing salary credited.
  • If Freelancer: Contract copy / Invoices / Visiting Card.
  • If Agriculturist: 7/12 translated in English
  • If Student: School/College ID Card / Bonafide Letter + Leave approval
  • If Retired: Retirement proof / Pension Order/Pension Slips.
  • Adhaar Card Copy.
  • Yellow Fever & Polio Vaccination- Required at time of travelling.
  • If Employed: Salary slips for last 3-months + Leave approval letter + Salary account statements for last 3 months showing salary credited.

Documents from Nigeria Friends / Family

  • A letter of invitation from Host Company in Nigeria. This must be addressed to the Nigerian High Commission New Delhi. It must be on letter headed paper stating the address of the company, The reason for the visit must be stated and accepting full immigration and financial responsibility on behalf of the applicant duration his/her stay.
  • Photocopy of inviter’s international passport data page.
  • A copy of CERPAC CARD of the inviter if NON NIGERIAN.

Documents from Netherlands (Dutch Citizen or a foreign resident) :

  • Invitation letter issued from Town Hall Passport copy
  • Copy of the id card or Dutch residence permit.
  • Proof of recent income if sponsoring: (3 last salary slip + Bank statements 3 months, last income tax assessment paper.
  • a copy of your employment contract that is valid for at least 12 months from the date of the visa application
  • a recent extract proving your registration with the Chamber of Commerce (if having own business)

  • Original Passport Document a minimum of 6 months validity. Must have two blank facing pages. Old Passport if any.2 visa photos A letter from Indian Company, this must be addressed to the Nigerian High Commission New Delhi. It must be on letter headed paper stating the address of the company, Reason for the visit must be stated, and The letter must be signed and dated by a senior member of staff at the company. This cannot be signed by the applicant.
  • A letter of invitation from Host Company in Nigeria. This must be addressed to the Nigerian High Commission New Delhi. It must be on letter headed paper stating the address of the company, The reason for the visit must be stated and accepting full immigration and financial responsibility on behalf of the applicant duration his/her stay.
  • Photocopy of inviter’s international passport data page.
  • Certificate of Incorporation of the Host Company in Nigeria.
  • Certificate of Indian Company registration.
  • A copy of bank statement, showing name and address of Applicant/Company. The bank statement must be a minimum of $1000 in credit, overdrafts are not included. This can be no more than 3 months old at time of submission.
  • Salary slips for last 6 months- If employed.
  • Yellow fever & Oral Polio Vaccination required at time of travel.
